What happens after I buy a DIY kitset?

How are the kit sets packed? What size and weight are they?

Basic - on a pallet, wrapped and strapped. 0.6m3, 280kg

Premium - on a pallet, wrapped and strapped. 0.8m3, 500kg

Delivery options

Currently, we offer a special promotion of free delivery to your local depot.

You can pick up your purchased oven from the depot or our Christchurch workshop if you are a local customer, at no additional cost.

If you prefer home delivery, we will calculate the price based on your specific access scenarios and location.

Due to the size and weight of the parcel, the shipping company may refuse home delivery or charge an additional fee if there are obstacles such as hills, steep, unpaved or narrow driveways, or difficult truck access.

If you are interested in delivery, please provide us with your address and mobile number.

Timeline

Typically, we can prepare the kit for pick-up the day after purchase. If customization is needed, it can take about 5 days. During high season, such as before Christmas, the waiting time may extend to over a week.

Tutorial and assistance

To build the oven with the DIY Kit Set Premium, follow our detailed video tutorial. Each step is clearly demonstrated. Customers have said, 'I did the premium kit and it was a breeze.' If you get stuck at any point, we're happy to assist via video call and guide you through the next step.

How long does the DIY kit set take to assemble?

10-15 hours spread throughout a few days.

Are finishing materials and paint supplied?

Any finishing work, such as painting and styling, is the buyer's responsibility. The Premium Kit Set includes all necessary parts, mortars, plasters, and adhesives. However, it does not include paints, colorants, or a brick-style entrance unless ordered additionally.

Please note that our oven is perfectly insulated, so no special paint is required. The good news is, leftover exterior paint from your home's walls can also be used on your plastered pizza oven exterior! Just make sure it's a standard exterior paint type.

What tools do I need for building the pizza oven?

You may need just basic tools:

  • Trowel
  • Japanese spatula - filling scraper
  • Hand saw for shaping a shell
  • Sanding disc
  • Scissors
  • Sponge

I have no construction experience - will I still be able to build the oven?

Yes, our pizza oven kits are designed for everyone. Basic skills are all you need to build the oven. That's why we provide prefabricated parts that fit together like Lego blocks.

Additionally, we offer a step-by-step video tutorial and are happy to answer any questions. Just give us a call if you need help or video call if you get stuck at any step.
