Engineered for assembly, not built from scratch
No bricklaying, no brick cutting and no specialist masonry skills. The difficult engineering is already done, with pre-formed components, supplied materials and step-by-step guidance.
Made by us, in small batches
We manufacture the major cast components ourselves rather than simply sourcing a finished oven. Each refractory dome, self supporting base, entrance, chimney section and outer shell is cast in moulds, finished and prepared by us before becoming part of the kitset.

The oven has its own supporting base, so it does not require a concrete benchtop. It needs a stable, level stand or frame capable of supporting the completed oven.
Engineered to be built by you
The main oven components are prefabricated and fit together in a clear sequence. There is no bricklaying or cutting required for the standard build.
Allow around 10 to 15 hours of hands on assembly time, spread over a few days so the mortars, adhesive and finishing materials can set properly between stages.
What you need to build it
Basic DIY experience and common tools are enough for the standard build. There is no bricklaying or cutting required.
Some components are heavy, so you will need another person to help with lifting and positioning. A full tool list is provided with the assembly instructions.
One firing. Up to 12 hours of useful cooking.
Start with pizza at the highest heat, then keep cooking as the temperature gradually falls.
Use the retained heat for bread, roasting and slow cooking later on, without starting again from a cold oven.
Getting your kitset home
Collect your kitset free from our New Brighton warehouse, arrange standard urban Christchurch delivery for $150, or have it freighted to a StraitNZ depot or agent elsewhere in New Zealand. Current depot freight prices are shown on our Delivery page. Standard urban home delivery outside Christchurch can be arranged for $150 additional to the depot freight price.
